"New apartments but poor maintenance. I have only been here 8 months and have had numerous issues within this new apartment from leaks under all sinks which will cause mold in the walls in time, bcuz they never fix them right, to the refrigerator not holding a cold temp to air barely blows, numerous spiders inside and outside, low water pressure which makes showering miserable. Do not move here. Two neighbors have moved and not renewed there leases. If they improve on maintenance and respond in a timely manner without having to repeatedly put in a request or go into the office and complain then they may be worth living in. I asked for a new fridge and have yet to get one and there resolution was for me to put my food in another fridge in a vacant unit. They knew a maintenance team and guys who actually know how to fix basic plumbing and appliance problems. Also what your told you will pay at move in will increase after move in. They charge bill fees which I think is illegal on top of your regular bills and you don’t get an actual bill showing your usage on your utilities. Take it from a current resident look elsewhere. Moving when my lease is up. The property manager does nothing about complaints and they don’t care about your concerns. They aren’t trying to keep tenants only a quota to fill them. A revolving door if neighbors. And they aren’t gated for the cost. You can live alot places for 1800 a month. That’s what it will cost you with all the fees not including electric. Nice looking is good but you have to live here a year so happy with what your paying for is most important. You want to be happy with what your paying and with those responsible for keeping your home safe and habitual for living."
"Cynthia Gerhard was, by far, one the most helpful apartment agents we have encountered during our quest to find our daughter her perfect new home! She showed us the beautiful Alta Sergeant property and the perfect floor plan for her and her son. Cynthia was knowledgeable, very friendly and professional. She spent as much time as we needed to get comfortable with the layout and understand all aspects. I highly recommend the Alta Sergeant and Cynthia!"
"The apartment is beautiful I have been here almost 6 months. Unfortunately there is an infestation on little black/reddish brown bugs coming in through every perimeter of my home. I reported it and the exterminator said “it is wevels and they are flying in”. This is not true because the bugs I am seeing do not have wings. I am unsure what to do at this point. The front office does seem to be concern with the matter, they told me to call the exterminator company that came out but the company stated they are not allowed to speak to me."
"Really loved what I saw when I toured and decided to apply but ended up changing my mind due to a lot of red flags. I wanna start off by saying Cynthia was wonderful. She was very kind and worked diligently but I can’t say the same for the other agent. Unfortunately Cynthia was out of the office for an extended amount of time during a crucial moment in my application with a lot of mistakes that couldn’t/wouldn’t be fixed.
Issue #1:
I was approved after waiting 4 days just to be told that they can’t send over a lease because their “system is down”. So I couldn’t see any legal information. However Cynthia said she would send over my lease thru Docusign Instead. I received a move in quote sheet but not actual lease to sign. Unfortunately Cynthia would be out the office for the next 5 days. I asked Danielle to do it but she said she was too new to figure out how to do that. After 4 days of checking….website is still down so I can’t sign anything.
Issue #2:
I checked my move in quote and I was quoted $150 more than the agreed amount. I reach back out to Danielle and she said that she couldn’t fix it because she doesn’t know what me and Cynthia agreed on. In my opinion that shouldn’t matter because you are aware everyone is getting 8 weeks free. So why do you need Cynthia’s approval for something that you already know is true? Once I mention this to her suddenly she now says “ you can do this in the resident portal” but the portal is still down….4 days later.
It just seems like Danielle didn’t want to assist me at all during this process. She even mentioned that I could sign the lease papers on the day that I move in…2 months from now. That offers no stability and I have no idea what I’ll be walking into as they won’t show me my lease. I am moving from Pennsylvania and have to let my current landlord know I’m leaving asap. Why would I drive 20 hours without an official legal document signed across the county and end an already stable lease? Plus as I mentioned the amount that was sent over to me was incorrect.
I take all of this as a red flag, if this is the amount of issues I’m having before I even sign the lease I can’t imagine how they manage the property.
They charge for everything. I didn’t know that they also charge $30 for a “ pet application”. So in total you’re going to spend $265 on an application just for them to never send over a lease. Don’t waste your money or time. This is added unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation."
"After the Beryl Hurricane Alta Sergeant seemed to be the only place with the power on! No damage at all, only the Teal boiler went down but was fixed almost immediately. So if you want to feel safe during the storms that is a good place! We’re loving living here with our two kids. Everything is always clean including the swimming pool. The only thing we didn’t like is the quality of the paint inside the apartments, it’s not washable and if the kids soil it you can’t wash the dirt away."
