"active US Coast Guard w extensive research online from out of state about the complex before moving in. Clear false advertisement and very suspicious mostly positive Google Reviews. The pictures are NOT ACCURATE. Grounds and complex less than adequately maintained. Nothing like “Resort living”, very run down. Management changed several times within the few weeks I was dealing with leasing office. Still disputing false advertising on Sanalwood Managments part. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at ALL COSTS!"
"Natalie Ramirez is the new property manager at Dwell, and her leadership has been a source of frustration and concern for many residents. She is widely regarded as rude, hostile, incompetent, and cantankerous, creating an unwelcoming environment for tenants. Since taking over from Amanda and Levi, two highly regarded previous managers, Ramirez has overseen a noticeable decline in the quality of the property and its sense of community.
Community events and gatherings, once a staple of the property, have been eliminated under her management. Ramirez herself has stated, "I'm not here to make friends or fraternize with residents," which reflects her dismissive attitude. Instead, she has focused on issuing passive-aggressive notices, implementing arbitrary changes to lease agreements, and avoiding civil discussions with long-term residents who raise valid concerns.
Residents have also reported feeling scammed by her imposition of unexplained fees, adding to the overall dissatisfaction. Her abrasive demeanor and unwillingness to engage constructively have made interactions with her unpleasant and unproductive.
It is disappointing that Sandlewood would employ someone so ill-suited to managing what was once a vibrant, community-oriented property. Many residents, myself included, will be reaching out to Sandlewood to voice our concerns and advocate for a change in leadership. If Ramirez remains in her role, I would strongly advise others to avoid this property."
"Having worked in the apartment industry for over two years now I can confidently say the staff onsite are second to none. They address issues onsite as they arise within a very timely manner and always serve with a smile. They are constantly putting money back into this property to keep it beautiful. Even given it’s age it still holds its own against the more modern properties in the area. Having lived in a few local complexes before, I can say no other place has had such a “homely” feel to it. Great staff and great residents!!
The fishing is a pretty huge bonus too!"
"Truly a great place to live. We moved in November 2021 and came from the Philadelphia area. It feels like living on a resort! The apartment manager Amanda and her assistant manager Levi are very attentive to all our needs! It is a unique community as we are all like family here and it’s safe for my son old play outside, as well as diverse. I cannot say enough great things. I’m glad we moved here!!!!"
"Our son lives at The Dwell at Clearlake and when we visit it’s like staying at a resort. The views are amazing and the residents treat everyone like family. Management is available to help with any concerns."
