"Increased my rate after notifying management that they have a German cockroach problem. Then when I tried to work with management on the rate they dodged me for over 3 weeks while my notice to vacate window expired. But they were very responsive when I asked them to send the paperwork. Immature and unprofessional management. Her name is Krystal. Do not recommend. ?"
"I have been dealing with an extremely loud neighbor for about 3 months. They regularly play music so loudly that my walls and floors shake. Our lease says neighbors are not allowed to be, "loud or obnoxious", so l know this is a violation of the lease. I used to call in noise complaints to the security guards and they'd tell me I was not the only one complaining, so I know this isn't a me-only issue. I have tried to engage the office many time and they are non-responsive. You always get sent to voicemail when you call and I have had emails sent that the management team has not responded to for over 3 weeks. If I didn't respond to an email at work for 3 weeks l'd get fired. It's crazy to me that they're allowed to ignore communication from their residents. I filled out a form to email the company Kushman & Wakefield about it and... surprise- no one ever got back to me. This used to be a great place to live, but between the noisy neighbors, the leasing office who does not respond to residents, and the lack of security guards l've been noticing lately (it seems we not longer have security and this has never been communicated to us) I hope to be able to get out of here soon because I can no longer live my day-to-day life (or work. My husband and I both work from home and we've gotten complaints from work about the loud music being heard while on calls) comfortably with this extremely loud neighbor and absolutely nobody is willing to help or acknowledge it. I just got home and had to wait 5 minutes at the gate because there’s no security guard and there was a long line to get in."
"I’m starting to reconsider if my decision to move here was a good choice or not. First off, I’d like to acknowledge that the office staff isn’t as responsive as they should be which leads me to my next point. I’ve sent multiple emails regarding a few things to which I still have yet to receive any response from them from an email I sent a couple weeks ago. As of now I still have yet to receive a key fob which is stated in the leasing contract and it’s been a little over a month since my move in date and I still haven’t gotten any update on it. Secondly, I can confirm that maintenance requests do take a while to get done which was previously mentioned in a review posted in January of 2023. However, what baffled me the most was when I logged in to submit a different request regarding a leak with the dishwasher. I look through the most recent request I submitted back on January 15th regarding a dining room lightbulb that needed to be replaced only to find that it was marked as “completed” in the resident portal the very next day, January 16th, when clearly the lightbulb still hasn’t been replaced as of today Feb. 1st. Even though these issues may be minor to some, it feels like I’m not being valued as a new resident of this community and it is very disheartening only after a little over a month of living here. With all things considered, rating this property 2 stars in my opinion is a fair and honest evaluation of this management company after living here for at least a month. Please note, the 2-star rating is an evaluation of the MANAGEMENT COMPANY, not the property itself. If the staff in the office actually took care of the issues I’ve been having, this review would honestly be 5 stars and I’d recommend others to look into this property. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case. So if you’re looking for places to live, I hope everyone takes the time to read the most recent reviews of this property, including this review, when making your final decision to move."
"I absolutely do not recommend living here especially because I am paying well over $1,500 in rent. It’s a huge scam and I am counting down the days on my lease.
When I first moved in I noticed the unit had a German roach problem. Disgusting.
A lot of the machines in the gym do not work nor does the management care to fix. Lots of weights missing.
The fountain I live next to is currently green and they do not fix it.
I’ve also seen the people who work here such as management and maintenance behave in strange ways such as smoking on property, when it’s supposed to be non smoking? Leaving trash outside the chutes and walking around drinking bottles of liquor… says a lot about the people who work here if they don’t care why would they care about the community?
I feel like I’m living in a dumpster with the amount of trash residents leave. There’s trash outside the chutes all the time. No one uses the valet trash. Trash everywhere it’s disgusting.
All of these things say a lot about the community. Say a lot about the management. I would avoid at all costs."
"Review of the Apartments
I have lived in these apartments for three years, and they used to be a great place to call home—clean, quiet, and safe, with an overall pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, things have changed significantly over time.
Nowadays, it’s dirty, the neighbors are noisy, and the smell of marijuana is everywhere. On top of that, parking is no longer safe, and leaving your car feels like a gamble.
It’s disappointing to witness such a decline in the quality of living here after three years. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve the situation."
"I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to Krystal, the property manager, and Michelle, the assistant manager, at Montecito Apartments. Both of them were incredibly polite, professional, and went out of their way to be helpful during my time residing here. Their friendly attitudes and prompt attention to any concerns or questions I had truly made my stay enjoyable. It's rare to encounter such dedicated and attentive management, and I’m so thankful for their support. I highly recommend Montecito Apartments to anyone looking for a great place to live!

"Lived here for almost 3 years and will not be staying. It has gone down hill.
- Residents cars get towed for no reason
- Didn’t have hot water for a month due to “repairs”
- Awful management
- Stealing of packages
- Cars getting there wheels taken
- Bikes thrown off the garage top floor
- My guest had an A&M sticker on there car and it got peeled off
- Gym is broken and trashy
- Trash everywhere
- German roaches
- No response to maintenance requests
- Security doesn’t do anything
Save your time and money. Krystal is the worst manger you can imagine."
