"DO NOT RENT HERE!
I provided my 60-day notice to Vacate, left my aportment in immaculant condition, and was charged fee's that were not Warrented. I am now in collections because of this grave MISTAKE on their part.
DO NOT RENT HERE!!! I have proof of my notice to vacate signed by their leasing person. I have a video and still no response"
"Wow...I've been gone from this place for like 7 yrs now. A friend recently asked me if i recommended this place, i said absolutely, i didn't have these problems back then. They did good...they were GREAT! They even went as far as helping us when we got behind on rent after my husbands hospitalization. And i loved the area. But after reading these most recent reviews, i can't recommend my friends and aquaintenses here. What happened guys?"
"I lived here for 3 years. It was a good starter apartment definitely because the manager at the time when I signed (2021) didn’t require a deposit up front. BUT the company Grey star they are the worst company to live under! What Oaks didn’t tell you when you sign YOU WILL be charged for them to repaint the tub and r resurface after you move out even if your tub looks nice! You will have roaches, maintenance is horrible! They will take 2-3 months to respond to your problem. The pool is never open because they can’t maintain maintenance on it. Trash is all over the property. You will be paying $1200 or $1300 for not that nice of mines and a bad area.. The only benefit of living there was the community within itself was pretty peaceful and you can split your rent (pay half every 2 weeks to rent whatever). Other than that, they will charge you random fees within your rent. If you were looking for a starter apartment and you don’t mind the roaches and the horrible management and maintenance team. Then this is a place for you. The rent will continuously increase and it’s just not worth it for the amount of things they don’t do for the apartment complex to keep it nice and keep the resident happy."
"My apartment got flooded Saturday and they went in without notice and left a mess. Nobody called me to notify me and all my stuff was thrown. It’s Monday and no one has contacted me yet. I came it to talk to them and they’re not doing anything about it. They just want to clean the carpet instead of replacing it, the place already stinks, they won’t let me move out and I still have to pay this month’s rent.
They’re not trying to help at all. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. The place is old and rent keeps going up by weird fees, the pool is green and they don’t do maintenance on the property. The gate never works and its 24/7 open. Doesn’t feel safe at all, specially knowing they can just go in to your apartment without notice."
"don’t, just don’t . try City Crossing or literally any other complex. Moved in here late August . Before I moved into my apartment I had read the reviews on my specific unit, so I emailed and discussed the reviews to make sure the issues were fixed prior to my movement date . Clearly, they didn’t keep their word. I moved in late August and decided I wanted to document as much as possible to let future renters know of the place was worth it or not . When I first moved in late August the unit was roach infested , the fridge smelled disgusting , there was paint splatters on the floor and the stove itself was filthy … Oh AND NOT TO MENTION THE RODENT DROPPINGS IN THE PANTRY . I dismissed it , trying to be stubborn and give the complex a chance however , I started noticing my air conditioning wasn’t working properly and my light bill was through the roof! Mind you this was a couple of weeks after moving in . So I made a maintenance request , and the issue wasn’t fixed . Then October came and I made another request , the issue wasn’t fixed then either . Now it’s November and I’m so fed up . I’ve called various times , they keep saying the maintenance guy is coming this and that, and he doesn’t , or even if he does the issue isn’t fixed . I’ve also gone to the office and called their emergency maintenance number . Which clearly says if it’s above 80 degrees or below 60 and your AC isn’t working it’s a maintenance emergency . Needless to say , these people don’t care about you . So honey , please find something better , take it from me . OHH . And also , this is not the safest complex at all . There are gunshots nearly every night , last time they started shooting at 6:15 am when most people start heading to work / school …. Talk about living in the trenches ."
