"I've lived in the Essex House from May 2023 to June 2024. It was a nice place and calm place to live. When I moved in, the communication with Sam was wonderful, she replied promptly to all my questions and issues. But in the last 6 months It has been quite difficult to have a good communication with the management office. I was supposed to get a refund for my deposit and part of the rent. They said and wrote me an email I would get a check from 20-30 days after I left the complex. It's been almost 40 days I left the apartment and no one answers my emails. This is quite disappointing."
"The complex is clean and well kept. I briefly met the head of maintenance, who was also very nice. Stephanie from the leasing office was absolutely amazing. She was patient, answered all my questions, took me to tour different units, and was super friendly. She even got me first aid supplies when I fell walking with her across the street. Great place, I hope to be a resident soon!"
"I really thought that I would be able to give a good review based on the first day of viewing the Essex. I fell in love with place. The surrounding area is just beautiful and the people that live here are just wonderful. My apt. Locator found this place for me.

Mgmt is awful!
My experience started off great, Stephanie was the leasing agent. Looks are very deceiving where she's concerned ?.
Careful, to listen very carefully and get it in writing!! if she is your leasing agent, she speaks extremely fast which causes her to over speak which caused me a great financial hardship. The worst part of it all was that she half heartedly admitted her failure.
With the regional property Mgr, intervention, the situation was somewhat resolved. The most pleasant but quiet person there is Sandra. She's always eager to assist and has a beautiful demeanor. Always true and professional.
Because of the "suggested ", comments from Stephanie, labeling me as an "angry black woman ", simply because I ask her to be truthful and take ownership of her horrible over speaking mistake, she pulled the" I feel threatened " card. This racist attitude is unable and very unprofessional.
To make matters worst, I have gone to the office twice ,including this morning and she shows up after 9am, when the office should be open at 9am ,and carries the same very unprofessional attitude when she's the one who's LATE to work.
This drove me to write a review that I said I would not write.
I love it here, however, I will not be renewing my lease , nor will I referr anyone here.
Mgmt needs to adjust in many areas, the new Mgr on the property shows NO interest in meeting the new tenants at all. In fact each time that I have tried to say hello to her and introduce myself, I was met with the " tell her I'm on a conference call, response, all THREE times.
This was supposed to feel like home, now I feel like I'm just an apt. Number. The assistant Mgr, said to me she will be transferring, I see why.
Sincerely, consider elsewhere!

I'm not sure who the owner is, the person I'm referring to is BRENDA who is the new Mgr.
Perhaps the person responding to my review should have said your name, if you are the owner.
It appears that this review has offended you, my review is a true review. Stephanie is in need of training. Her comment to was offensive and racist.
I also brought the office staff treats from my business as a sign of gratitude . Until Stephanie made her mistake , things were, or so i thought, was the start of a great relationship.
I do not wish to continue a conversation any longer."
"Wonderful area, great staff, helpful maintenance. Central Market being nextdoor is amazing! The engagement from management is very nice and I appreciate the Amazon lockers. The landscaping is beautiful and the amenities are nice, including the pools! I've deducted one star because I've had a roach issue in my apartment :( we had pest control come and we've used our own traps and baits but we still have an issue :( hopefully in time things will settle down."
"I’ve lived here for seven years. Two of the one star reviews left in the last two to three weeks are from residents who cannot behave in any form or fashion among the residents here. If they’re complaining, that management hates men or about trash, that means they just can’t follow the rules, have been fined or asked to leave. It may just mean they just can’t get their trash out side during the hours for trash pick up and probably can’t follow any other rules on the property as well. This is a great place to live, and the best price for the area and those of us that care about our community take care of our property and get along with our neighbors. The ones leaving one star reviews on here and disparaging the entire place have done nothing to better their community or stay here. The Essex is a wonderful place to live, and the residents that abuse the privilege weed themselves out and then complain when they are removed. One star really means they don’t live here anymore, cannot follow community policies, or are in fear they will soon be removed."
